The palette includes two eyeshadow colours that can be mixed together to create a customised shade, tailoring to both blondes and brunettes. The brow stencils give you a choice of three different shapes, whether you’re after a subtle brow or a high-arch, high-powered look. Small angled flicks with the brow pencil allow you to create a more natural finish, while the highlighting cream sweeped under the arch makes the brows pop. Also included are miniature versions of Crowns hard angled and spoolie brushes, tweezers and a cream eye shadow primer, providing the perfect base to compliment those perfectly shaped brows. All of which are housed in a sleek, purple case with convienent compartments to neatly store everything away.

The Pro Brow Palette is available now at Crownbrush online and is an absolute steal at £24.99. Karla Powell, head of makeup artistry has provided a step-by-step guide to using the palette for beginners in brow shaping, which can be found at Crownbrush’s Facebook page. It won’t be long until you’re creating beautifully groomed brows enough to give Cara Delgivine a run for her money!

Five favourites

Here's what I'm loving at the moment:

1. Girls  You must be living under a rock if you've not heard of this show! Written, directed and starring Lena Dunham and produced by the unstoppable force that is Judd Apatow, Girls is unlike anything seen on TV at the moment. Brutally honest, unapologetic and funny, I gave it a try one night and wasn't quite sure what to make of it...Four hours later, I'd watched half of season 1 and was completely hooked. I have just watched the season 2 finale and I'm already impatiently waiting for season 3. Unless you are of the prudish or easily embarrassed type (Too much nudity and all-out awkward sex scenes to mention), I urge you to give it a go.

2. Nelly blog, Fanny Lyckman - This is a girl after my own heart, her wardrobe is literally my exact style, only if I had the money to afford it. Her blog has introduced me to numerous fashion sites and boutiques that I would never have found normally, and a few of which I have become a frequent customer to. Her own line of clothing is to hit nelly.com this year and I am eager to see what gems are among the collection.

3. OCC Sci-fi Lullabies - I am a huge fan of OCC lip tars, they are unbelievably pigmented (Literally the tiniest drop on my hand is all that is needed to fill a lip with dramatic colour), and come in a host of weird and wonderful colours. So of course their SS13 Sci-fi Lullabies collection has me drooling. My favourite of the collection is a metallic gunmetal black, which I can't wait to get my hands on. A full report on the new collection will be up soon via The Upcoming.

4. Pinning sprees - I love, love, love Pinterest. I used to have various picture blogs just to have a place to store reference images, so when Pinterest came along I was straight in there requesting an invite to sign up, and I've been pinning away ever since. Especially useful with my makeup, I use secret boards to research for shoots and personal projects, including a circus/freakshow photo series I'm currently planning. You can follow my boards on Pinterest at pinterest.com/saramua .

5. Drive original soundtrack - This has been a favourite for a long time, but I was struggling to reach five!! I'm a sucker for a good movie soundtrack, and this is by far one of my favourites. The perfect album to chill out to, as well as being one of my favourite films. Now I just need the vinyl so I can have the pretty pink record!

Royal Spades x Wolf and Badger press launch

Tuesday saw the launch of luxury denim brand Royal Spades at the independent fashion boutique, Wolf and Badger. Arriving at Wolf and Badger on the luxurious Dover Street in the heart of Mayfair, we were led underground to ‘The Gallery’.

We were greeted upon entering by a long, narrow, white gallery space, decks of playing cards strewn across the floor and hanging from the ceiling alongside dozens of black and white balloons. The Coronation, Royal Spades SS13 collection, was hung along either wall by rope against the white backdrop, allowing the denim to be the main attraction.

Guests sipped on specialty rum and vodka cocktails and nibbled on canapés, including sugar cookies adorned with black spades. Nail artist Nancy Mc Nails gave girls spade-themed manicures while DJ Douglas Poppelman provided music that turned the atmosphere in The Gallery in to a party.

Royal Spades SS13 collection consists of luxury quality, fashion-forward denim that would easily be a staple piece in anyone’s wardrobe. The jeans are suitably named Kings and Queens for men and women and the colours and cut of the jeans make them suitable for just about anybody. Made in Chelsea star Rosie Fortesque was seen among the crowd and told look.co.uk recently: “Their jeans are amazing and fit perfectly, so I can’t wait to check out the whole collection!” We at The Upcoming agree, and can see these being a royal hit in months to come!

The Royal Spades SS13 collection is available to buy now at Wolf and Badger, 32 Dover Street, London. View the original article at The Upcoming.

I had such a fun time at this event, and came away with a gorgeous little goody bag. You can check out more of Nancy's nail art at nancymcnails.tumblr.com, the girl has talent!

Wild About Beauty Safari Nights Palette

Wild About Beauty Safari Nights Palette: £29* (Available mid-March)

Housed in a gorgeous deep-purple case, I opened the palette to be greeted with an array of rich bronze shades. The palette contains a collection of lip, cheek and eye products designed to create a sun-kissed look, including powder eye-shadows in Aine and Polly, créme eye-shadows in Buster and Edna, ultra sheer powder blush in Kitty, multi-purpose tint in Sandra, ultra dewy glow stick in Benny and nutrilips gloss in Sasha.

Upon application, the products were beautifully pigmented and were of a lovely, smooth texture. The crème eyeshadows create a sheer, shimmery eye, whereas the powder shades give a slightly heavier, yet no less pretty look; great for a subtle day-to-night makeup. The powder blush was way too dark for my pale skin, but fortunately when applied lightly under the cheekbones and at the temples, made for a perfect contour – and, teamed with the Ultra Dewy Glow Stick acting as a highlight, gave my face more definition and an instant glow. The stars of the palette for me were the Nutrilips Gloss and Multi-Purpose Tint: the tint looks beautiful on both the lips and the cheeks, and the gloss simply enhances my natural lip colour and gives the dewy look of a balm, as opposed to that very unflattering, sticky gloss look.

The Safari Nights Palette contains a versatile mix of products containing all the colours you need to create an easily wearable sun-kissed look all in one compact palette. It even made my usually pale self look like I’d been basking in the sun for a week; needless to say I can’t wait to use this palette when the sun finally shines!

The Upcoming & LCF Term 2 Photo Shoot

Apologies for how little I've been posting lately, but I have been absolutely rammed with stuff to do! Last week I submitted my Term 2 project for LCF, which required us to plan a shoot interpreting a quote from our brief and submit 4 photos, a research journal, a written piece, and a publication showing my idea from conception to realisation to an 'imagined' potential client, which in my case was Hunger Magazine. After nearly tearing my hair out, the wave of relief felt on submission morning and the final images from the shoot was definitely worth all the stress.
I'm so proud of how the images came out, working as an MUA on someones shoot is one thing, planning the entire shoot and getting a team together to try and create an idea of your own is a whole different story. It's an amazing feeling to see your vision come to life. If only I could relax now, but I have an essay to hand in next week!!

The other reason I've been extremely busy is due to an internship I landed at British daily online magazine The Upcoming. After nearly 6 months since starting Beauty Lust, it occurred to me more and more just how much I enjoy writing about beauty. So, I began toying with the idea of writing for another company and doing it as a sideline to makeup. I applied for a couple internships thinking nothing of it, never did I think that I would get a reply to my applications at all, so I was shocked to have two different websites wanting to take me on!  The internship I chose is a Fashion & Beauty editorial position, where I write two articles a week to a strict deadline. It's been a challenge, having never done anything like this before I've been thrown right in the deep end, from liaising with companies and PR's, requesting press releases/samples, to spending my second week of my internship reporting on London Fashion Week shows! Hopefully when it comes to an end it will only lead to bigger and better things, fingers crossed!

I honestly think I am crazy trying to juggle LCF work, an internship, freelancing and running a blog all at once, and I probably am, but I'm having so much fun. After my essay is in I'll be back to posting more regularly on here, and I think The Upcoming may let me post some of my beauty reviews on here so you will all be hearing from me more regardless. I also have a new segment coming up so look out for that!
